ISTE - National Technology Standards for Students

 

National Educational Technology Standards has come from the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).

The 2016 ISTE Standards for students emphasize the skills and qualities we want for students, enabling them to engage and thrive in a connected, digital world. It also describe the skills and knowledge they need to learn effectively and live productively in an increasingly global and digital society. 

 

Our students are at the center of everything we do. As educators, our foremost goal is to prepare them for their future.

 

The technology foundation standards for students are divided into seven broad categories. Standards within each category are to be introduced, reinforced, and mastered by students. These categories provide a framework for linking performance indicators within the Profiles for Technology Literate Students to the standards.
